Log into the Phonebill System using your domain username & password.
How to make an internal call
- Dial the Extension e.g. 2236
- Press # (SEND) button
How to make an external call
- Dial 7 (Airtel) or 9 (Safaricom) followed by the number you want to call in full e.g. 0722XXXXXX or 020XXXXXX
- Press # (SEND) button
- You will be prompted for you PIN.
- Enter the PIN and then press # (SEND)
Note: Telephone Pins are issued based on the request made by your HoD or Manager.
How to make an international call
- Dial 9000 followed by the country code, then the phone number
- Press # (SEND) button
- Example: 9000254754768676
Note: Making international calls requires approvals from your HOD or Manager.
How to retrieve Voicemail/Message
- Press *97#
- Listen to the instructions from the Voice prompt.
- End as per instructions
Note: Please adjust your speaker volumes for clarity.
How to record a Voicemail/Message
- When your call is not answered you will be prompted to leave a message.
- Press # (SEND) key on the telephone set when done
- Press 1 to accept the recording (more instructions as per the user voice)
How to Transfer an active a call
- Pick up the incoming call
- Press TRAN or TRNS on the telephone set
- Dial the Extension to transfer call to
- Engage the user, then Press # (SEND)button on the telephone set
How to call forward (When you are not at your desk or busy)
To configure Call Forward via Phone interface:
- Press the following keys: MENU -> Features -> OK -> Call Forward -> OK.
- There are 5 options: Always Forward, Busy Forward, No Answer Forward, Busy/No Answer Forward, Cancel Forward.
- If you choose one of them (except Cancel, Forward), enter the phone number you want to forward your calls to.
- Then press OK to save the changes.
Redial Last called Numbers
- Press RD button on telephone set
- Scroll UP arrow to locate the Number to Redial
- Press OK button to call back
Retrieve Missed Calls
- Press the UP arrow key on the Navigation window of the telephone set
- Press OK button to call back
How to pick up a call from another Extension (Limited to office setup)
- Press *8#
When in a meeting and want little or No interruptions
- Press DND (Do Not Disturb)
Note: Remember to Press DND to remove this function once your meeting is over else no one will be able to reach you.
