Accounts Management
Domain Account is an account created for either staff or student to allow them access the following University Resources:
- Desktop Services
- Network Printing Services
- Library Services
- E-Learning
- CAS Services e.g. HR, Financial, AMS, Payroll, Cafeteria, Clinic, e.t.c.
Staff Domain Account:
- To get a domain account, liaise with Team People and Culture.
Student Domain Account:
- To get a domain account, liaise with your school administration
The Default University mailing platform is gmail customized under the @strathmore.edu domain. Your google account gives you access to the following Google Suites Products:
- Google Drive – for Backup and collaboration
- Google Docs, Sheets, PowerPoint, Forms, Calendar
Staff Domain Account:
- To get an email account, liaise with Team People and Culture.
Student Domain Account:
- To get an email account, liaise with your school administration
The University provides its students and staff a Microsoft account that allows them:
- Install and activate Office 365 on your gadgets be they PCs or laptops.
- Users accounts come with 5 licenses managed by the users themselves.
- Students and staff have access to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Teams, OneNote among others.
Staff Domain Account:
- To get 365 account, liaise with Team People and Culture.
Student Domain Account:
- To get 365 account, liaise with your school administration
Staff Account Closure / Disabling:
A staff account may be permanently closed or disabled due to:
- End of Contract or Termination
- Account is deemed as causing a breach on the University Infrastructure.
- Disciplinary action
Student Account Closure / Disabling:
A student account may be permanently closed or disabled due to:
- Fee payment
- End of Study
- Account is deemed as causing a breach on the University Infrastructure.
- Disciplinary Action
Temporary Accounts can be setup for Guest users (upon approval) as advised by the Host clearly stating:
- The role the guest will play
- The duration the account needs to be active
- The resources to be accessed
